Modportrait 2023
For the second time in a row a painting of Suzanne's has been nominated for Modportrait. The portrait of a boy will be on display at MEAM in Barcelona from May 17th until September 2024. A second painting, Worker Bee, has reached the preselection and will also be included in the Special Edition Catalogue
Paintings
As a finalist in the leading international contest Modportrait 2023 and 2022 and nominee for the Dutch Portrait award 2023, Suzanne has proven her paintings are of exceptional quality.
Suzanne uses a realistic style and, depending on the subject, she paints in great detail with strong values to create a very intense piece.
Self-image is a recurring theme in her paintings. She blurs the lines of sexuality and makes us accept these fluid states of being, as they seem so natural in her portraits. Often times the subjects look directly at us, the viewers, in an attempt to make us understand their thoughts.
Suzanne continues to develop her techniques and follows one or more masterclasses every year.
